Introduction
African Americans had a bad time from the 19th century and in the 20th century. The African Americans were supposed to get their rights in 1865 but like president Lincon died the other president stopped reconstruction and the segregation did not stop until t1965 were the African Americans fought in a non-violent way.
Body Paragraphs
Segregation was a big corruption in the south. African Americans had to go through a group called the kkk. This group killed blacks who did not respect whites or whites who help blacks. This group was mainly in the south were they were more segregated than the north. The kkk was a big threat to the blacks.
The blacks had to be segregated and could not be with whites. They both had to go to different restaurants and other public places. This violated the 14th amendment.
The black male got the right to vote. This said that all males were equal. They made a march about it which was getting men to be more equal and have more of the same rights.
Conclusion
The blacks had a bad time getting their rights together but it worked in the end.
