The decision of the Warren Court have greatly affected the american society. From the Brown vs. Board of Education ( Doc. 2) to the Engel vs. Vitale case ( Doc.5), the warren court era has changed innumerable things. In the case Brown vs. Board of Education, Brown was fighting for the stop of segregation in public schools.
He achived his goal when the United States Supreme Court ruled against segregation on May 17, 1954 (Doc.2). The share of black children attending majority white schools rose from o.1 % in 1960 to a high of 44 % in 1988(Doc.3a).
Now, in the case of Engle vs. Vitale the issue was children praying in schools. But despite a court ruling 32 years ago class room prayer still is going on today(Doc.5) "Prayer is still increasingly a part of school activities from early-morning prayer to lunch tie prayer sessions". President John F. Kennedy said " When have in this case a very easy remedy, and that is to pray ourselves", (Doc.4).
And lastly, in the case Miranda vs. Arizona. "Refusing to over turn more than three decades of establishee law enforcement practice, the Supreme Court yesterday strongly reaffrimed it's landmark Miranda decision (Doc.9). The Miranda is a right that requires police to infor criminal suspects of their rights to remain silent and to be represented by an attorney during interrogation,(Doc.9). "Every junior High School student knows that they are entitled to their "Miranda RIghts",(Doc7).
